A mid-afternoon storm and shower on Wednesday had the bowlers playing in the tabs in competition sponsored by J Leslie Smith Inc. scuttling for cover before enjoying tea and muffins provided by the sponsors. The competition continued after tea and was won Bernice Burden, Chantal D’Hotman and Howard Thomas. The runners up were John Withers, Derek Balfour, Mike Peirson and Peter Little.
In the League matches played on Saturday, the ladies had a narrow victory against Hilton at home. The Men’s Second League won their match against Collegians while the Men’s Third League Team lost their game against Howick.
Next Saturday the ladies will be away to Maritzburg and the both men’s teams will be away to Alexander Park and Mooi River respectively.

Saturday 13 February: Members are encouraged to enter the club single’s competition which will commence on this day. A bring and braai and a fun event is planned for Valentine’s Day which falls on Sunday, 14 February. Please check the notice board in the club for further information.
Regular start of play is as follows: Tuesday at 08h30 (dress is casual); Wednesday and Saturday at 13h30 (whites). Tabs must be in 15 minutes prior to commencement of play.
