Wednesday appears to be the day when raindrops will fall on bowlers’ heads. This week it was more than raindrops which prevented us playing. It was thunder and lightning which sent us running for cover and an early cup of tea.
League matches continued on Saturday with the ladies of Umgeni Waterfall Bowling Club playing their last match of the season against the ladies of Maritzburg Bowling Club and beating them by 9 points to 4. This ought to see us staying in second position on the Log.
The men’s Second League team beat the men of Alexandra Park by 11,5 shots to 1,5 thus maintaining their position at the top of the Log. Unfortunately the men in the Third League lost to Mooi River.
