On Saturday, 6 September 2025, we are calling on the Midlands community to come together for a clean-up at 23 Morling Street, following the devastating fire that destroyed our soon-to-be community computer training centre.
This space was meant to be more than just a building – it was being renovated to become a place of learning, growth, and opportunity for young people, job seekers, and small businesses in our community. Countless hours of effort, resources, and passion went into preparing it, and while the fire has set us back, it has not broken our spirit.
We are determined to rebuild, and the clean-up is the first step in that journey. We invite community members, local organisations, and anyone with a heart to help to join us on the day. Whether you can lend a hand with physical work, bring along tools or supplies, or simply show up in support, every effort will make a difference.
This initiative is not just about clearing away debris – it is about showing that, together, we can rise from challenges stronger than before. It is about community resilience, standing side by side, and proving that when one of us is struck down, we all rise to lift each other back up.
